Calling all Toddlers, Tots, and Preschoolers ages 2-6!
The rangers at Saugus Ironworks National Historic Site invite you to attend free monthly Storytime and activity sessions around the park! Bring your favorite adult and learn about the special places, objects, living things and stories the National Park Service protects. Create crafts to take home each time and receive a special prize for attending all six sessions! No reservations required. Meet at the Saugus Ironworks Visitor Center (244 Central St., Saugus).
This week's theme is life in the past! Become an ironworker and mix play ingredients together to make iron. Watch a blacksmith demonstrate how to make a nail in our Blacksmith Shop. Then, make a popsicle puppet of an ironworker to take home. We will be reading "Farmer Duck" by Martin Waddell.
