As we mentioned last month we'd be doing soon, we have now switched Saugus.net over to be SSL-only access. This has been optional for a long time and has already been the default for many, so we aren't expecting any issues, but if you see anything funny please do let us know.

We've been asked about where to get the 2017 Historic Saugus Calendars produced by the Saugus Historical Society. You can get your copy for free from the Saugus Public Library, from the Saugus Town Hall, from many of the sponsors' locations, and from a few other scattered public buildings as well.

We've reached the halfway point in what has so far been an exceptionally mild winter. We'll have to wait and see what the second half has in store for us, but the occasional groundhog notwithstanding, most indicators are pointing to a mild second half, too.

We've gotten word that the 2017 Historic Saugus Calendars published for free by the Saugus Historical Society are starting to hit the streets in some quantity. If past years are any indication, they won't last long, so get yours soon.
