Please join the North Shore Coalition for Health and the Environment for a FREE environmental forum on 30 July 2003. Learn about regional pollution issues as well as environmental and public health concerns associated with the proposed addition of a third burner to the RESCO waste incinerator in Saugus. Topics of discussion will include public health impacts associated with waste incineration and other sources of industrial pollution, protecting the natural resources of the Rumney Marshes Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and regional efforts to expand recycling. Directions: Saugus Italian American Club (ITAM), 1 Beachview Ave., Saugus. From Lincoln Avenue in Saugus, follow Bristow Street to the end, ITAM is located on the corner of Bristow and Beachview Avenue in Saugus. The North Shore Coalition for Health and the Environment is a collaborative effort of several environmental organizations and residents of Lynn, Saugus, and Revere that are working together to protect public health and the environment from regional pollution problems such as the addition of a third burner to RESCO. Organizational members include Saugus Action Volunteers for the Environment, Saugus River Watershed Council, Clean Water Action, and the Friends of Rumney Marsh.
