The Saugus Non-Profit Organizations page was updated today.

The Guestbook was updated today. Of course new entries get added to it all the time and don't get mentioned here; today though the actual introductory text was changed, and that's only very rarely modified.

The News Sources page was updated today.

The Filename Suffixes List was updated today.

The Free Software Guide was updated today.

Both the General Information page and the Miscellaneous Information page were updated today.

The Site Map and Table of Contents were both updated today to reflect the addition of all the new Saugus message boards.

Saugus.org was updated today.

As the Saugus discussion groups are now all in pretty good working order, we've added them to the Features section of the sidebar for more easy access.

The process of adding semi-automated moderation to all the Saugus Usenet newsgroups has been completed. This should hopefully keep them as spam-free as the guestbook, but quickly enough updating to support fairly fluid discussions. We're still looking for more volunteer moderators, so if you'd like to help out for any particular Saugus discussion group let us know. The system will automatically reject most spam and approve most human messages, so the duties of a moderator should be fairly light and consist of periodically checking the relevant discussion groups for borderline messages to either approve or reject.

The moderation set-up of all the Saugus Usenet newsgroups will be completed by Monday. While we're testing everything as we go along (of course) there will possibly be erratic behaviors during the weekend. If you encounter anything, please let us know and we'll fix it right away.

The Search the Internet page was updated today.

We're continuing to improve the Saugus Usenet newsgroups. We expect that they will all be being moderated by no later than the end of next week, but quite possibly as early as the end of this week.

The Gathering of Memories site was updated today with more information about the upcoming sequel.

The Saugus High School Alumni Association site was updated again today.

We've been working on adding moderation to the Saugus newsgroups. This will help prevent spam in the discussions. If anyone is interested in moderating any particular groups, please let us know.

The Saugus Town Clerks' Office site was updated today.

The Saugus Historical Society site was updated today.

The Saugus High School Alumni Association site was updated today.

The office will be closed today for the holiday to allow everyone at Saugus.net to spend some time with their families. However, the Community Events Calendar, the Yard Sales Calendar and other like pages will continue to be updated.

We now have an experimenal web interface for the first of the new Saugus Usenet newsgroups (in addition to the classic Usenet interface that you can browse with an application like Thunderbird). We'll be making changes to it over the next few weeks. If you have any comments on how it should look (or a particular forum that should be added) please let us know.
