Spring has arrived after what has seemed like a particularly long and snowy winter. While we'll certainly be dealing with more frozen days ahead (and perhaps even more snow) the inexorable turn of the seasons will start to bring life and warmth with it.

As we are now nearly into spring we have removed our annual Halloween Ghost Story Writing Contest from the sidebar. The winning stories from this year (and all past years back through 1998) will remain available via direct link and search, and we'll add it back to the sidebar when it comes back it season.

We believe that the annoying problem that has recently been causing the Dailies not to pass all the way through the system has been fixed; we have seen a couple manifestations of this issue though so it is possible that there is still a subtle issue lurking with the software.
