The office will be closed today in observance of the holiday; pages like the Community Events Calendar will continue to be updated, and e-mail will continue to be read, however. Please remember that at the moment form submissions on Saugus.net have been deactivated while we implement some substantial upgrades, so any information you'd like to send should be via e-mail. There will be a notice here when form submissions return.

We got word a little late this year, but as is now posted on the Community Events Calendar, the Saugus Memorial Day Parade this year will be tomorrow, May 25, starting at 9:00 AM.

Saugus Annual Town Meeting highlights include the passing of an article to allow an extended school bus contract (for up to five years) and the passing of an article to enable an early retirement incentive program for town employees.

Congratulations to the winners of the T-shirt raffle we had at the Saugus Chamber of Commerce's Spring Expo Saturday: David Blanchard of Peabody, Michelle Ciampa of Revere, and Sophia Melewsky of Saugus. At this point (while we've tried to notify all three by the means they've provided) we've not yet been successful in contacting all winners, so if you're a winner reading this now and haven't heard from us, please give us a call at 781-231-2621 and let us know what size T-shirt you'd like (large or extra large).

Highlights from the Annual Saugus Town Meeting include the passing of an article to hand over some town land to the Saugus Housing Authority and the passing of an article modifying the existing sign by-laws. The Annual Town Meeting will continue on May 20^th.
