Anyone planning on driving through the Saugus area should leave a little early and plan alternate routes as there are many roads affected by flooding. Some roads have been completely closed by the towns or cities responsible for them; others are effectively closed to ordinary cars with up to a foot and a half of water being recorded pooled up in some of the open streets. Drive carefully, and be safe.
We've uploaded some photographs of the flood in Saugus. Most of the ones currently there were taken by Dennis Robitaille. Do you have any that you'd like added? E-mail them to us and if they're different enough from what's already there we'll add them. Also, if you have any good flood stories, please share them on the Saugus talk forum.
