Be the first to try the newest trend in recycling! Bring your USED, BUT USEFUL household items to our first, of what we hope will be many, SWAP MEETS. Any items that still have useful value but you don't want them anymore is what we are looking for. Bring 1, 2, or 10 items that you can swap for other participants' items -- hence, "NEW TO YOU". You will not be forced to take your items back home (with some restrictions; in particular excepting items that require special disposal such as, but not limited to, TVs, computers, monitors, paint, tires, and propane tanks). Any items not taken will be donated to the Salvation Army. No money will be exchanged. Come one, come all. Bring your items, your family, and your friends. We want to change the course of sending useful items to the trash pile by recycling them to a new home and keeping them out of the trash stream. Light refreshments will be available. The Saugus Canine Officer and the Board of Health would like to remind dog and cat owners of their legal obligation to have their pets vaccinated against rabies. If you have questions regarding rabies or the clinic, please contact the Canine Officer at the number above.

The Sisterhood of Congregation Ahavas Sholom, 343 Central Street, Saugus, will have its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 8, 1:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the downstairs meeting room. The National Association of Letter Carriers, in conjunction with the United States Postal Service, will be collecting non-perishable food items like canned meats and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice on Saturday, May 10th to help families in need in our community. You can help by making your food donation at your mailbox on May 10th before your letter carrier arrives. It will be taken to the Post Office and then delivered to local food banks or pantries. Please do not include items that have expired or those in glass containers.

Most items are free; the following items are exceptions: TVs and monitors are $10.00 each; propane tanks are $5.00 each; car tires are $2.00 each; truck tires are $10.00 each.

This is an annual service honoring our graduating seniors and encouraging them to ?go with God? as they face new and exciting challenges. The speaker will be Rev. Ray McDaid from South Congregational Church of Peabody, and special music will be performed by the Saugus High School Choir under the direction of Ms. Nancy Lemoine. Students will participate in reading Scripture passages, and there will be a Junior send-off. Following the service there will be refreshments in the parish fellowship hall. All graduates, their family and friends are welcome to this inter-faith event.
