We've started to post the winning entries for our 17^th Annual Ghost Story Contest. We'll continue to post them category by category throughout the night.

Tomorrow is Halloween, and we'll be posting the winners of the 2014 Halloween Ghost Story Contest sometime during the night.

The Tips for New Computer Users & New Internet Surfers page was updated today.

The deadline for the Ghost Story Contest was yesterday. All entries that we received have been acknowledged. Any additional entries that come in now will be held for next year.

Tonight at midnight is the deadline for submitting stories for this year's Halloween Ghost Story Writing Contest. We're trying to acknowledge entries pretty much as they come in, so if you have submitted something and haven't heard back from us please contact us right away. Also, please note that we have not had the chance to go through all entries yet, so we may still run into issues extracting text from some of them. If this happens we'll try and contact you via e-mail as soon as we spot the problem.

There is just one day before the deadline to submit your ghost stories for the seventeenth annual Saugus.net Ghost Story Contest. We've gotten bombarded with entries these past few days but are mostly caught up, so if you've submitted a story and haven't heard anything yet, you should let us know.

It hopefully should not be necessary to mention this to most people, but if you're entering the Halloween Writing Contest please be sure to keep files unlocked, unencrypted, and not password protected. If we can't get at the contents of the file, we can't pass it along to our judges and it consequently can't be in the contest.

There is just one weekend left before the Halloween Ghost Story Contest deadline next Wednesday. Get your entries in soon! We've not yet received any interactive fiction entries, so if you're debating whether or not to try your hand at that category, this could be your year.

Don't forget that we also accept interactive fiction entries in our annual Halloween Writing Contest. If you like to write and are a little bit technical (or even just curious) why not try it out?

The Saugus.net office will be closed today for the holiday. Regularly updated pages will continue to get updated, and contest entries will get accepted just like on any regular day.

Please ensure you get a response acknowledging your contest entry for our annual Ghost Story Writing Contest. E-mail does occasionally get mislabeled as spam, blocked by filters, or otherwise get lost. We're trying to acknowledge each entry within a few days of when we receive it.
