This is just a reminder that in honor of the natural horror that is 2020 we plan to give out custom face masks to all winning Ghost Story Contest authors (in addition to their regular T-shirts) plus some additional interactive fiction authors even if they do not win. These masks will feature the mysterious and underused Saugus.net Logo, so when people see it they will know it means something but will likely have no idea what. Always leave them guessing!

So yes, we accidentally linked to our past 2002 Halloween Ghost Story Contest instead of the current 2020 Halloween Shost Story Contest a couple of times last week and we are sorry. They were typos and all the links should be fixed now, and you can still read all past winning stories.

This is such an unusual year in so many ways, and we have decided to do something a little different this year for our Annual Halloween Ghost Story Writing Contest. This year only, in spirit with the world we are all living in, winners will receive a limited edition reusable face mask in addition to their normal T-shirts. We will also give one of these masks to each author of up to the first twelve legitimate interactive fiction entries (it has to be complete, winnable, and short-story length, and our judgement is final) we receive before the deadline of October 22.
